- WDI has also created an on-line News register for those of you who would like to be kept informed.
- Please view the Primary School Projects online.
- Community Art Project, an artist has been commissioned to work in association with the WDI and West Lothian Council (WLC) to research and produce a project that explores the connections between community interests and the developing Master Plan for Winchburgh.
- Please come along to the outdoor film projection event and meet your community artist Peter McCaughey on the night of 5th November at the Craigton Park. As an introduction to the project, Peter is organising a dramatic outdoor projection of films of Winchburgh, including archive footage of the shale works and Gala Days, interviews and portraits of local people in and around Wincburgh, and a screening of ‘George’s Weans’ by local school children from 1997, who will now be young adults.
This is an opportunity for you to contribute your ideas for the future of Winchburgh: How do you see the changes affecting the community? What do you love about the area? What would you like to see preserved in the village?
If you would like to get involved in the art project, would like to be part of the film or have any material to contribute, please get in touch with Peter or his assistant Shireen Taylor:
- Tel: 0141 332 9911 ext 35
